Avery-Grace Blanco

Arizona Combatting Human Trafficking

Avery-Grace is an intern on the Combatting Human Trafficking team. She is currently pursuing an M.A. at Arizona State University in Social Justice and Human Rights and has chosen to write her thesis on modern slavery that occurs in the United States Prison Industrial Complex. Avery-Grace completed a B.S. in Criminology and Criminal Justice from the Metropolitan State University of Denver in three years.

Prior to her work at the McCain Institute, Avery-Grace interned with the Ronald Reagan Foundation and Institute in 2018 and several other agencies providing victim services through undergrad. After graduation, she worked for city, county, and state governments providing emergency shelter services, crisis response, and crime investigation. In December of 2022, she will be traveling to Ghana to help reintegrate children who have been rescued from child trafficking with the NGO Challenging Heights.
