Preventing Targeted Violence Intern
Julia Iacoviello is an intern with the Preventing Targeted Violence program at the McCain Institute for International Leadership at Arizona State University. She is a second-year master’s student at George Washington University studying forensic psychology with an interest in counterterrorism, (de)radicalization, and disengagement.
Julia holds a B.A. in psychology and criminology & criminal justice from the University of Maryland and is currently a research assistant at the National Consortium for the Study of Terrorism and Responses to Terrorism (START) where she contributes to the Global Terrorism Database (GTD). She has recently begun taking Arabic courses.
In her free time, Julia enjoys traveling, running, listening to music, and attending concerts. Julia has lived in the DMV area for about six years but is originally from Long Island, New York.
