Preventing Targeted Violence Intern

Nesila Koka is the Prevention Targeted Violence Intern at the McCain Institute for International Leadership at Arizona State University. Born and raised in Albania, Nesila has volunteered since a young age and then worked for the promotion of rights and dignified life for vulnerable groups with several non-government organizations in Albania.

Having previous experience in countering violent extremism, she hopes to expand her knowledge on innovative prevention tools against hate or targeted violence in the US and around the world.

She is currently resides Glendale, Arizona pursuing her MA in Social Justice and Human Rights at Arizona State University. In her free time, she likes to travel, hike and bake. She is a native Albanian speaker and fluent in English, Italian and Turkish.
