American Democracy Program Junior Fellow
Nora Winckler currently serves as a Junior Fellow on the American Democracy Program at the McCain Institute.
Nora recently graduated summa cum laude from Augustana University with a B.A. in government & international affairs and English, and with a minor in journalism. She served as the news editor for the student-led newspaper The Augustana Mirror, as a student ambassador and an orientation leader for the university, and as an event planner during her time as Head Governor of Augustana’s Union Board of Governors. Throughout her college career, she worked at Boyce Law Firm in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and recently completed a spring internship with Senator Mike Rounds in his D.C. office.
In her future, Nora plans to pursue a career somewhere in government where she will work to strengthen and protect American democracy. In her free time, Nora enjoys taking walks, completing jigsaw puzzles, and reading.
