Melinda Marino

Research Advancement Manager

Melinda Marino is the Research Advancement Manager for the McCain Institute and is based in Phoenix, Arizona. In her role, she supports the administrative development of grant proposals for new project funding and assists with the administration of awarded grant funds. She has been working in grant administration for nearly seven years at Arizona State University (ASU). Melinda’s work includes supporting similar efforts in the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at ASU. Melinda’s goal as a research administrator is to enable program staff to focus on the technical aspects of grants by owning the budgetary and administrative items. In addition to the management of specific grant proposals, she enjoys training staff on all aspects of grant management and helping the ASU community build better administrative practices for international grants.

Melinda has a BS and MEd from Texas Christian University and is a Certified Research Administrator. In her spare time, she enjoys singing and spending time with her family.
