Program Coordinator, National Security & Counterterrorism Fellowship
Rachel Haskins is the program coordinator for McCain Institute’s National Security & Counterterrorism (NSCT) Fellowship. In this role, she helps coordinate and execute three week-long modules for the NSCT Fellows. She provides on-the-ground support for each module in Washington, D.C., London, and Canberra.
Prior to joining the McCain Institute, Haskins worked for advertising analytics firm AdImpact as both a data analyst and marketing director. She is in the final semester of a master’s degree in security policy studies from the Elliott School of International Affairs at The George Washington University. Her concentration is transnational security and non-state actors. She will complete a capstone research project focused on the appropriation of Norse Mythology by right-wing extremists.
Haskins earned a bachelor’s degree in political science and Middle East and Islamic Studies from Gettysburg College. She was heavily involved with the college’s Eisenhower Institute and was a member of the inaugural class of Fred F. Fielding Fellows studying presidential leadership. In her free time, she enjoys listening to podcasts, spending time outdoors, and exploring local restaurants.
