Preventing Targeted Violence
Steven Blum is a junior fellow with the Preventing Targeted Violence program at the McCain Institute at Arizona State University. He is a senior at American University’s School of International Service majoring in international relations with a focus on human rights and a minor in international business.
At American, Steven is the captain and president of the club ice hockey team, and recently studied abroad in Belfast, Northern Ireland. He previously interned with the International Rescue Committee in Silver Spring, Md., where he worked on refugee resettlement and youth development. Steven also has a piece awaiting publication with the London School of Economics Human Rights Forum.
In his free time, Steven likes listening to new music and trying new foods, as well as hiking with his dad whenever he can.
