Joanna Jauregui serves as the Arizona Combatting Human Trafficking program assistant with the McCain Institute of International Leadership. In this role, she supports the senior director of Arizona Initiatives to increase statewide collaboration in combatting labor and sex trafficking in Arizona.
Prior to joining the McCain Institute, Joanna served as the Domestic Violence and Human Trafficking Prevention AmeriCorps VISTA with the Arizona Governor’s Office of Youth, Faith, and Family. During her year of service, she developed prevention and awareness training materials, provided human trafficking and intimate partner violence prevention training to hundreds of stakeholders across Arizona and assisted in the coordination of community engagement events, including the first Arizona Human Trafficking Council Symposium.
Joanna is a Phoenix native and graduated from Arizona State University with honors earning a bachelor’s degree in community health.
