Adrienne Sgarlato serves as the human trafficking program intern at the McCain Institute for International Leadership.

Prior to joining the McCain Institute, Sgarlato was the summer intern for the Department of State Office to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons. Her primary focus was on recruitment methods, responsible supply chains, and training and technical assistance for American Indians and Alaska Native groups.

Originally from West Caldwell, New Jersey, Sgarlato graduated from Fairfield University with a bachelor’s degree in International Studies and Politics and is currently pursuing her Master’s in International Affairs: Global Governance, Politics, and Security at American University School of International Service.
