Brian Strauss is the decision theater lab manager at the McCain Institute for International Leadership at Arizona State University. In this capacity, and maintains the Decision Theater hardware and trains the Institute staff on its operation and innovates new ways to create effective media for theater display.

As a lifelong technologist, Strauss has innovated mobile technologies, streaming video, media storage and is an expert bicycle repairman.

Prior to joining the McCain Institute, Strauss was a Multimedia and IT manager at Penn State’s World Campus, where he managed a statewide network of teleconference rooms that was built to extend the PSU classroom experience to every commonwealth campus location.

At National Geographic Magazine, Strauss innovated numerous award winning efforts including live webcams streamed from a watering hole in Botswana, VR photography from New York’s Ground Zero, and he created numerous data visualizations published in the magazine.
