Cole Newcomb serves as the Human Trafficking Program Intern at the McCain Institute for International Leadership, supporting the Human Trafficking team to further the Institute’s efforts to combat all forms of modern slavery.

Before joining the McCain Institute, Cole interned with Open Door Legal, a nonprofit modeling the first system of universal access to civil legal aid in San Francisco. Between semesters, he interned for a social enterprise sourcing ethically-produced goods and Humanity United, a philanthropic organization working to end conflict and labor issues around the world.

Cole recently graduated with a bachelor’s degree in History with an international emphasis in the Middle East from Westmont College.
