Heather Fischer is the combatting human trafficking program manager at the McCain Institute for International Leadership. In this role, she serves as the subject matter expert on sex trafficking.

Before joining the McCain Institute, Fischer was the Mobilization and Partnership Strategist at Love146, where she managed government, major corporation, and community partnerships to combat child trafficking and exploitation globally.

Fischer brings extensive experience in community education, professional development, strategic planning and training on the topic of human trafficking and exploitation to the McCain Institute.

Fischer is a current member of the Washington, D.C. Human Trafficking Task Force and Human Smuggling and Trafficking Center Human Trafficking Information Exchange Group. She has also served on the New York Capital Region and Southern Tier Anti-Trafficking Task Force, Connecticut Bar Association Special Committee on Sex Trafficking of Children, Department of Justice Civil Rights Community Working Group, and Twitter Trust & Safety Council.

Fischer holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Liberty University.
