Katie Farrell serves as the Combatting Human Trafficking program intern at the McCain Institute for International Leadership at Arizona State University. Katie is motivated by resolving complex societal questions through independent and collaborative efforts, honed through collegiate debate, as well as academic research positions and internships in human trafficking rights.

A rising senior at the University of Pennsylvania, Farrell is studying English literature and philosophy. At UPenn, Katie serves as the editor-in-chief of 34th Street Magazine, vice president of the Penn Debate Society, volunteer for West Philadelphia Tutoring Project and a research assistant at the Perry World House. Outside of academics and extracurriculars, Katie enjoys music, comedy, experimental dining and mentorship.
