Journalist, Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty's Tatar-Bashkir Service

Alsu Kurmasheva is a press freedom advocate and a journalist with Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty. An ethnic Tatar, she championed Tatar culture, language, and minority rights as a reporter and an editor.
