Jessica Caplin

Protection Officer, UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR)

Jessica Caplin currently serves as Protection Officer in the Warsaw, Poland office of the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR), where she has been based since prior to the Ukraine emergency. She has previously held roles with UNHCR in Iraq, Bangladesh, Colombia, and on the U.S.-Mexico border, responding to situations related to Syrian, Rohingya, Venezuelan, and Central American forced migration movements. Prior to her work with UNHCR, Jessica served as a counterterrorism Intelligence Analyst with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in Washington, DC. She holds a JD from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law; an MS from the National Intelligence University; and a BA from Harvard University.
