Tomas Martinaitis

Deputy Mayor, Lithuania

Tomas Martinaitis has spent his life serving others. After completing his studies, he returned to his small hometown to work as an adviser to the mayor. Since 2019, Tomas has served as one of the youngest Deputy Mayors in Lithuania. For many years, Tomas has been working with youth organizations in order to amplify the voice of the younger generation. He has invested much of his time and effort to grow new young leaders and represent youth interests better at a local and national level. Tomas is the Lithuanian representative of Lithuanian youth in the Community of Democracies in the Youth Lead program. He also is a leader of the Lithuanian Social Democratic Party. Currently, he is completing his Ph.D. in Political Science with a dissertation on the improvement of the quality of local government in Lithuania. Outside of his work, Tomas is a loving husband and father of two daughters. He is an active member of the local evangelical church community.
