Erica Marie Rivera Maglalang is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Global Studies and Political Science at Arizona State University, along with an accelerated master’s in International Affairs and Leadership. Immigrating from the Philippines to Arizona at age two sparked her passion for international diplomacy and inspired her to pursue a career as a diplomat. At ASU, Erica serves as the Director of Marketing and Communication for the Center for Latina/os and American Politics Research, and previously worked as a Research Analyst in the President’s Office of Enterprise Planning. She also serves as a Student Ambassador for the School of Politics and Global Studies, where she represents students in meetings with school leaders to advocate for academic enrichment while collaborating with faculty to promote community engagement through leadership development. Passionate about diplomacy, international relations, and global governance, Erica aspires to a career as an international diplomat, where she can foster cooperation, address global challenges, and advocate for meaningful change through research, public speaking, and leadership.
