Arizona Recognizes John McCain Democracy Week
Since 2024, Governor Katie Hobbs has proclaimed the last week in August as John McCain Democracy Week recognizing Senator John McCain’s legacy on his birthday on August 29, and the anniversary of his passing on August 25, 2018.
The designation recognizes Senator McCain’s enduring legacy in the state of Arizona and his lifetime achievements fighting for freedom, democracy, and human rights in the United States and around the globe.
