Mary Kate Maltsberger

Mary Kate Maltsberger is from College Station, Texas. She earned her undergraduate degree at The George Washington University’s Elliott School of International Affairs, where she concentrated in Security Policy and Conflict Resolution as well as Naval Science. Her academic work focused on national security, defense institutions, and the legal and strategic dimensions of conflict. She is currently pursuing graduate studies at the Bush School of Government and Public Service in Washington, D.C., specializing in Homeland Security. Her research has centered on maritime security, naval strategy, and U.S. defense policy, with particular attention to interagency coordination and threats in the maritime domain. She has gained hands-on experience through work with the NCIS and the U.S. House of Representatives,  where she engaged directly with federal security, oversight, and policy processes.
