McCain Institute Junior Fellow
Lihao Yu is a Global Democracy Junior Fellow at the McCain Institute, where he supports research, programming, and strategic initiatives focused on democratic governance and freeing high-profile political prisoners. He recently earned a B.A. in International Affairs from the George Washington University’s Elliott School of International Affairs, with a minor in Criminal Justice and Political Science. He brings relevant experience from the World Trade Center Institute, where he coordinated U.S. State Department–sponsored international delegations, as well as from the Onero Institute’s China Program and the Chinese Development Student Think Tank, where he conducted policy research, published analytical writing, and supported high-level policy forums on U.S.–China relations and global security.
