Della Johnson

Program Assistant, McCain Global Leaders program

Della Johnson serves as the Program Assistant for the McCain Global Leaders Program (MGL) at the McCain Institute. She supports the administration and operations of the current MGL cohort and alumni network. She also manages logistics for in-person programs and events.
Prior to this role, Della served as an advance associate for the White House, facilitating events for the president, and as a contract staff member for the U.S. Department of State’s Office of the Chief of Protocol, coordinating high-level diplomatic events. Events she supported include NATO’s 75th Anniversary Summit, Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) meetings hosted in the US, the US-Africa Leaders Summit, US-Pacific Island Country Summit, and the annual Chief of Missions Conference. She also interned with the Center for European Policy Analysis and Vulcan Consulting in Brussels, Belgium where she focused on EU digital and tech policy.
Della graduated in 2024 from American University in Washington, D.C., with a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies.
