Preventing Violent White Supremacy Blueprint

In partnership with the Center for American Progress (CAP), the McCain Institute has launched a one-year initiative to help identify a concrete, national policy agenda that will garner bipartisan support.

In collaboration with the communities most threatened by violent white supremacy, the McCain Institute and CAP will identify actionable policy options that can be advanced through the congress or the next administration with a broad coalition of support. This project will recommend federal reforms and explore ways to incentivize and fund state, local, and community level-actions.

The McCain Institute and CAP are holding conversations amongst:

  • Advocates for communities or color, racial justice, and immigrant rights
  • Law enforcement communities
  • Gun violence prevention communities
  • Faith leaders
  • Counterterrorism community
  • Prevention community
  • Military leaders and veterans working to eliminate white supremacy in the military
  • Anti-hate and tech policy communities
