Theresa Morfaw is a women, girls and human rights activist. She is the Founder and Executive Director of Youth for Change and empowerment, a grassroots youth led organization which defends the rights of vulnerable youth. Her work pivots around defending adolescent girls and young women’s rights, her strategies include grassroots mobilization, advocacy, and economic empowerment. She has extensive experience promoting young women in leadership and engages them in local, national and international decision making processes. Theresa beliefs defending human, women and girls rights is defending democracy, her efforts are relentless in strengthening women and girls voices and giving them visibility in the local development agenda. She is very passionate about issues on sexual assault, sex/child trafficking, sexual and reproductive health and rights and justice. Her endeavors have gotten her and her team numerous National and international awards.
