Arizona Recognizes Second Annual John McCain Democracy Week August 25–31, 2025

Governor Katie Hobbs proclaimed August 25–31, 2025, as the second annual John McCain Democracy Week, honoring Senator McCain’s legacy on what would have been his 89th birthday on August 29, and the seven-year anniversary of his death on August 25. The proclamation recognizes Senator McCain’s enduring legacy in the state of Arizona, working for the people of Arizona, and his lifetime achievements fighting for freedom, democracy, and human rights in the United States and around the globe.
