TOKYO, Japan (October 7, 2025) – The McCain Institute at Arizona State University today announced the International House of Japan (I-House) as the official partner and host venue for the Sedona Forum’s first overseas event: “Sedona Forum–Tokyo”, scheduled for January 15, 2026, in Tokyo.
Founded in 1952, I-House is a private, nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering cultural exchange and intellectual cooperation between Japan and other countries. As a leading intellectual hub in the Asia-Pacific region, I-House advances its mission — “to contribute to building a free, open, and sustainable future through intellectual dialogue, policy research, and cultural exchange with a diverse world”— through a wide array of programs in international relations, governance, innovation, philosophy, and the arts. The organization is home to a distinguished membership community and world-class facilities.
“I-House is a powerful and symbolic venue for the McCain Institute’s first international expansion of the Sedona Forum,” said McCain Institute Board Member and McCain Advisory CEO Jack McCain. “Our shared commitment to open dialogue, democratic values, and international cooperation will provide the foundation for critical conversations about the future of the U.S.-Japan alliance and evolving challenges to security and democracy, particularly across the Indo-Pacific region.”
“We are very proud to partner with the McCain Institute, with which we share common values and a shared mission,” said International House of Japan Chairman James Kondo. “The International House of Japan (I-House) has set forth a new vision to serve as an intellectual hub in the Asia-Pacific region and to further enhance its global influence. This partnership marks a significant milestone in advancing that mission. We very much look forward to welcoming participants of the Sedona Forum from the United States and around the world to I-House.”
Additional information on speakers and panel topics will be announced in the coming months at TheSedonaForumTokyo.org.
