Supervisory Intelligence Analyst, Counterterrorism Division, Federal Bureau of Investigation
Meredith Bourke is a supervisory intelligence analyst in the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Counterterrorism Division, where she leads a team that produces strategic intelligence assessments on homegrown violent extremism for FBI executive management, senior policymakers, FBI field offices, the U.S. Intelligence Community, foreign and private sector partners, and state and local law enforcement. Since joining the FBI in 2010, she has served in multiple capacities, including as the supervisor of a strategic unit focused on international terrorist groups and threats emanating from Africa; as a targeting analyst dedicated to detecting, targeting and disrupting terrorist networks, operatives and facilitators associated with Arabian Peninsula-based terrorist organizations that pose a threat to the Homeland and U.S. interests abroad; and as an embedded analyst, providing analytic support, oversight and coordination with other Intelligence Community agencies for all international terrorism investigations based out of the Chicago, Charlotte and Springfield field offices.
Before joining the Bureau in 2010, Meredith worked in the Public Affairs Office of the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI), where she managed the DNI’s public speaking engagements, and wrote talking points, backgrounders and informal remarks for the DNI, his principal deputy and ODNI senior leadership. Prior to joining the federal government, she worked for a private consulting firm, where she provided all-source intelligence analysis, strategic communications, strategic planning and training services to Intelligence Community agencies, including the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Central Intelligence Agency and National Counterterrorism Center. She also worked briefly for a private firm, providing technical support to the United States Agency for International Development. Meredith holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from Duke University.
