Sarah Morell

Political Analyst, Central Intelligence Agency

Sarah Morell is a political analyst on the Middle East at the Central Intelligence Agency, helping to support U.S. national security objectives through written analysis and briefings to senior U.S. policymakers. She recently returned from a six-month tour as a briefer in the region. Prior to joining the Agency, Sarah worked at the Chicago Project on security and threats and in the Office of Senator Kirsten Gillibrand. Sarah graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a B.A. in political science from the University of Chicago in 2015. During college, she studied abroad at St. Catherine’s College, Oxford, focusing on international relations of the Middle East. In 2014, she was selected as a presidential fellow though the Center for the Study of the Presidency and Congress, an undergraduate fellow through the University of Chicago’s Program on International Security Policy, and the University of Chicago’s delegate to the Student Conference on U.S. Affairs at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. Outside of work, Sarah serves on the University of Chicago Institute of Politics Alumni Committee, helping to inspire the next generation of public service leaders. Sarah lives in McLean, Virg. with her husband.
