Senior Program and Finance Coordinator
Margaret Stoner is the Senior Program and Finance Coordinator at the McCain Institute at Arizona State University, where she plays a key role in coordinating the Institute’s financial reporting, operational processes, and program administration. Working closely with the Director of Finance, Chief Program Officer, and Chief Operating Officer, she supports the day‑to‑day operational functioning of the Institute and helps translate Institute policies and procedures into effective practice across teams.
Margaret serves as a central liaison between program, finance, and operations functions, coordinating procurement and contracting activities, supporting program and grant budgeting, facilitating reconciliation and reporting processes, and maintaining operational records and guidance. She also provides administrative leadership for select initiatives, including the Kissinger Fellowship, and supports operational coordination for high‑profile Institute events and convenings.
She brings prior experience in legal services and refugee resettlement and holds an M.Sc. with distinction from the London School of Economics and a B.A., summa cum laude, in Government with a minor in Arabic from Franklin & Marshall College. She originally hails from Lancaster, Pennsylvania, but has also lived in London, UK and Amman, Jordan.
