CEO, MyCapitol
Candace Moix is co-founder and CEO of MyCapitol, a nonprofit that maps the influence networks and context behind legislation to advance transparency and accountability in policymaking. Throughout her career—from counterterrorism research to national security intelligence, geopolitical threat analysis, and technology policy—she has focused on safeguarding public safety, security, and resilience in an era of emerging technology threats.
Moix is currently serving as a McCain Institute American Democracy and Technology Fellow. She has previously held roles with the U.S. Secret Service, the National Security Agency, the U.S. Senate, and the Administration for Children and Families. She has bolstered her national security and technology acumen through work with the International Centre for the Study of Political Violence and Radicalisation, the Institute for Strategic Dialogue, Krebs Stamos Group, Recorded Future, and the AI Now Institute.
She holds a BS in Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh, an MS in Computer Science from the University of Tulsa's NSF CyberCorps program, and an MA with Distinction from King's College London's War Studies Department.
