Max Read serves as Director of Civic Innovation at the Institute for Strategic Dialogue (ISD-US), where he leads research and projects examining how technology and media ecosystems impact polarization and public trust. Before joining ISD, Read managed democracy assistance, political party support, and independent media development programs in Eastern Europe with the National Democratic Institute. Earlier in his career, he worked on political campaigns at a public opinion research firm. He holds a BA in Political Science and International Affairs from Northeastern University.
