Baccus Roberts currently works as Executive Director for Compliance at the Liberia Electricity Corporation, where he provides corporate leadership for hundreds of employees and contractors. Baccus is a health and safety expert in the energy sector and environmental advocate from Liberia. He has a background in clinical medicine, public and occupational health, and public administration. Baccus has been a part of all major infrastructure developments in his country, overseeing major aspects of the construction of Liberia’s first industrial gold mine and the rehabilitation of a hydropower plant. Outside of his regular job, Baccus is involved in various non-profit organizations. He is the co-founder of the Environmental Rescue Initiative Liberia, an organization that turns plastic waste into construction, rain, and school materials in impoverished communities. Baccus is also the Country Director of Standing Side By Side, an American NGO that seeks to give educational access to the less fortunate. He is also the recipient of the Community Service Award 2019 for his outstanding record supporting the African continent.
