Saint Vincent and the Grenadines
Jeshua Bardoo (He/They) is a Lawyer, Activist, Writer, and NGO Leader from the multi-island Caribbean state of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines ('SVG'). Due to Jeshua's passion for advancing human rights and uplifting vulnerable groups, in 2019 he was awarded a prestigious and highly competitive global United Kingdom Chevening Scholarship which funded his Master of Laws in International Human Rights Law from Brunel University London. Moreover, due to Jeshua's outstanding work in his country, in 2023 he was awarded a Youth Hero Award for Social Inclusion and Mental Health Advocacy from the New Democratic Party's Young Democrats. Always putting service above self, Jeshua has served in numerous organizations for the benefit of his community. Inspired by his own experiences, a desire to make a difference in the lives of others, and a vision to help develop his country, in 2021 Jeshua founded Equal Rights, Access, and Opportunities SVG Inc. ('ERAO SVG'), an intersectional non-profit human rights organization dedicated to promoting equality and non-discrimination with a specific focus on women's rights, LGBTQIA+ Rights, Children's Rights and Disability Rights. He is also a Director for a regional umbrella organization in the Caribbean called The Eastern Caribbean Alliance for Diversity and Equality ('ECADE'). Jeshua is dedicated to being the change that he wants to see in society, uplifting and empowering vulnerable populations, character-driven leadership, and creating paradigm shifts.
