Bekish is a civil society leader from Minsk. He has worked in the public sector with NGOs and served in both developmental and leadership roles for the Green Network, Belarus’ association of environmental civil society organizations. Through the Green Network, Bekish plans to establish permanent sources of private funding for charitable organizations to establish their legitimacy and independence vis-à-vis the Belarussian government. Bekish seeks to establish a successful, independent civil society in Belarus.
